B eñat Prados shared on social media this Thursday, after the match against Manchester United, the injuries he suffered following a hard tackle by Victor Lindelof. The Athletic Bilbao player was left with a deep wound on his tibia, which was covered in blood, and required stitches and sutures, according to Marca .
"There is no red, there is no yellow, there is no foul, the game continues..." These were the words of the Basque athlete through his Instagram stories.
Ernesto Valverde also reacted after the game, saying he did not know whether the incident warranted a red card for the Swedish defender. His teammate Mikel Jauregiza also said that "you only have to look at the wound he has to realise it was a bad foul."
The match ended up going well for Ruben Amorim's team, with a 4-1 victory and the guarantee that they will be in the Europa League final, where they could have a direct route to the single league phase of next season's Champions League.
